About Joyce

Joyce Chikonye has worked in domestic roles for six years across two countries. From January 2018 to December 2021, she served as an assistant house manager at a private villa in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she managed a busy household of five family members. Her responsibilities included supporting the children's schedules involving school routines and extracurricular activities, ensuring the smooth running of household operations during the family's frequent travels, maintaining property upkeep and security, and coordinating shopping errands and checking inventory. From November 2022 to September 2023, Joyce worked as a house manager for a private family in Dubai, UAE. She oversaw daily household operations, supervised and scheduled household staff including cleaners, cooks, nannies, and drivers, and coordinated maintenance, repairs, and service appointments for the property. Her duties also included planning and overseeing events, gatherings, and guest arrangements, ensuring security systems and safety procedures were in place, and liaising with contractors, vendors, and service providers. She describes herself as detail-oriented, adaptive, and able to work under pressure.
