Meet Mariam Nambi

Mariam Nambi has six years of nanny and pet caregiving experience in Dubai, working with both American and Chinese families. From 2021 to 2023, she worked as a live-out nanny with an American family in Dubai Marina, caring for two girls aged 6 and 8 from Monday to Friday while remaining on call. Her responsibilities included leading English language instruction five days per week, helping the children achieve fluency, managing their schedules and activities, and providing homework assistance six days per week with structured learning routines and incentives. Most recently, from 2023 to 2025, she served as a live-in nanny and pet caregiver for a Chinese family, caring for two children aged 3 and 7 alongside three domestic short-haired cats. Her dual role involved creating educational routines for the children while maintaining feeding schedules and grooming for the cats, cleaning litter boxes daily, and monitoring pet health including administering medications and scheduling veterinary visits. Throughout both positions, she handled meal preparation, cooking 8+ weekly meals, light housekeeping duties including laundry and vacuuming, and maintained bedtime routines. Originally from Uganda, she holds qualifications in catering and hotel management from YMCA Institute and describes herself as dedicated and nurturing.
