Meet Stella Kabinga

Stella Kwamboka Kabinga has been working as a child caregiver with the Paterson family, a South African household, since December 2022. In her current role, she prepares nutritious meals and supports feeding routines, assists with personal care including diapering and hygiene routines while promoting independence in older children, and supervises nap times within structured daily schedules. She transports children safely to school and extracurricular activities, maintains organized learning and play environments, and supports early learning by assisting with homework, reading, and educational activities. Her responsibilities also include ensuring children's safety during activities and outdoor experiences, responding to minor injuries or illnesses, and performing light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe environment. Throughout her nearly two years with the family, Stella has collaborated closely with parents to monitor developmental milestones and reinforce learning goals while fostering positive social behaviors among the children. She describes herself as dedicated, caring, highly organized, and patient, with interests in outdoor activities, music and singing, reading children's books, and arts and crafts. Her work involves supervising both classroom-style activities and group play, demonstrating her experience in managing various aspects of childcare within a family setting.
