Meet Virme Lou Sanglay

Virme Lou is a 42-year-old Filipino housemaid, cook, nanny, and caregiver with extensive experience working for families in the Middle East. Virme's most recent position was with an Indian family in Dubai from June 2019 to August 2023, where she worked as a housemaid and cook. Prior to this, she was employed by an Omani family from 2017 to 2019, also as a housemaid and cook. From 2015 to 2017, Virme worked for a Syrian/Iranian family in Bahrain as a housekeeper and nanny, caring for an 8-year-old child. Her duties have included meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking various cuisines (Indian, Chinese, Omani, and Egyptian), caretaking of an elderly mother with a medical condition, general housekeeping, and childcare responsibilities such as preparing children for school, bathing, feeding, and accompanying them to activities. Virme describes herself as hardworking, loyal, honest, and self-motivated, with a passion for cooking memorable dishes using fresh ingredients.
