Meet Jakiya Elias

Jakiya B. Elias is a caregiver with experience in both elderly and child care. She began her caregiving journey in Jordan, where she worked from 2009 to 2011 providing assistance to an elderly Iraqi client. In this role, Jakiya helped with daily tasks and contributed to a positive living environment to enhance the client’s quality of life. In 2022, Jakiya transitioned to child care in Dubai, UAE, where she has been working as a caregiver until 2024. Her responsibilities include providing attentive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. She also supports children’s learning and development through educational activities, meal preparation, and assisting with toileting or diaper changes when necessary. Jakiya describes herself as reliable, adaptable, and possessing strong communication skills. She has completed various trainings, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and a Homecare Awareness Seminar, and is pursuing a diploma in caregiving to further her skills. Fluent in English and Tagalog, Jakiya is committed to creating a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for those in her care.
