About Joan

Joan Wanjiku Mwangi brings over five years of childcare experience to families in Dubai, having worked with children ranging from infants to pre-teens since 2021. She began her nannying career with Morgan & Mallet Nannies UAE in July 2021, where she spent three years supervising children's safety and well-being, planning nutritious meals, maintaining daily routines including feeding and napping schedules, and engaging children in age-appropriate educational activities. During this time, she also assisted with homework and school projects, supported social and emotional development, maintained organized play areas and children's rooms, and performed light household tasks related to childcare such as laundry and tidying toys. Since September 2024, she has continued working as a private nanny, providing attentive care that includes assistance with feeding, bathing, dressing, and toilet training while encouraging developmental milestones through play and educational activities. Joan describes herself as warm, dependable, and patient, particularly when managing challenges like toilet training or picky eating. She emphasizes her focus on creating nurturing, safe, and stimulating environments tailored to each child's unique needs, with strong awareness of childproofing requirements for both indoor and outdoor settings. Her approach includes supporting children's emotional well-being through positive reinforcement and active listening, while maintaining what she characterizes as open and respectful communication with parents to work as a team in supporting children's development.
