Lucy Wairimu Waigwa has worked as a nanny with two private families in Dubai, providing childcare support in both South African and Emirati households. In her role with a private South African family from 2019 to 2020, she provided full-time, in-home childcare support while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Her responsibilities included designing engaging, age-appropriate learning activities that foster emotional, cognitive, and physical development, establishing structured routines for meals, naps, hygiene, and play to promote healthy habits and emotional security. From 2023 to 2025, Lucy has worked with a private Emirati family, where she assists in delivering early education programs and supports individual learning plans through creative play, guided reading, music, and structured routines. Her duties include promoting emotional resilience and positive social behavior through calm, consistent interaction and redirection techniques, while helping streamline communication between educators and parents through daily child progress updates. In both positions, she has traveled with families as needed to ensure continuity of care during international trips, communicated effectively with parents regarding developmental milestones and behavior patterns, and assisted with cleaning, laundry, and preparing healthy meals for the families. She describes herself as dedicated, highly dependable, discreet, adaptable, and emotionally intelligent.
