About Lucy

Lucy Kinanu has developed over five years of experience in childcare across Dubai and Kenya, working with families from diverse backgrounds. She began her career as an English Teacher at Rusinga Academy in Nairobi from 2015 to 2017, where she developed lesson plans, fostered supportive classroom environments, and collaborated with colleagues on teaching methodologies. Her transition to nanny work brought her to Dubai, where she worked with a Russian family in Palm Jumeirah from 2021 to 2022, caring for three children including newborns aged 2 years and 8 years old. She then served as a Nanny Cum Tutor with another Russian family in Dubai Marina from 2023 to May 2024, where her responsibilities expanded to include academic support alongside comprehensive childcare. Throughout her nanny positions, Lucy has managed diverse responsibilities including nurturing children's physical, mental, and emotional development, creating structured daily routines, and supervising recreational activities. She has provided homework assistance, prepared nutritious meals, maintained clean environments, and communicated regularly with parents about children's progress. She describes herself as experienced and nurturing, with over 5 years of experience creating enriching environments for children. Her background combines formal education experience with hands-on childcare, enabling her to provide both academic tutoring and comprehensive child development support across multiple age groups.
