Victoria Boco Mendiola has dedicated nearly two decades to domestic work across the Gulf region, establishing herself through consistent housemaid positions with local families. Her career began in 2007 with a local family in Saudi Arabia, followed by two years in Qatar from 2010 to 2012 with another local family. She continued building her experience in Saudi Arabia from 2015 to 2018, before transitioning to Dubai where she has worked for multiple families over the past seven years. Her most recent positions include three years with a local family from 2018 to 2021, nearly a year with another local family from February 2021 to January 2022, and her current role with a Spanish family since 2024. Throughout her various positions, Victoria has performed comprehensive childcare duties including feeding, bathing, and dressing children, changing babies' nappies, and teaching basic social skills and hygiene. She has created safe environments for children, helped them learn through play, and taken them on outings to broaden their experiences, including handling nursery school runs. Her household management responsibilities have encompassed carpet and rug cleaning, washing windows and walls, scrubbing bathrooms, kitchen maintenance, laundry duties, and maintaining detailed records of completed tasks. She describes herself as having organizational skills, adaptability and flexibility, along with strong communication and listening abilities, while being eager to provide compassion in her work.
